Japan made some of the best cars in the 90s. R34 chassis can withstand 2000bhp+ its a beast! S2000 perfect balance. MX5 may look like its for hair dressers but one of the nicest cars to drive. RX7s are also fun and have a rotary engine with that fantastic sound. Pre 90s were all about classic European cars such as the countach, dino, 250gto, DB7 etc. And not once nor ever will be a good American car because they don't know what turning is.
