I assume the big crunch theory i true.
Basically space expands untill the antimatter dissipates,
then when gravity has cause the universe to become one singularity,
the singularity spits out protons and electrons who from into hydrogen,
and from the hydrogen after the big crunch, after the big bang, cometh all atomic energy.

>>686289009
Nah, the universe's expansion is accelerating, bro. Here's a good quick summary of what we know so far about the universe's origins and fate:

God doesn't need a creator. It's the only thing that doesn't need a creator.

Something HAD to be first because nothing can't create something. Checkmate athiest.
>>
>>686292176
it is incomprehensible.

God is super natural, it doesn't have to have an origin.

The only thing we can be certain of is at one point nothing existed, then something happened to cause everything to come into existence.

That something HAS to be supernatural since its scientifically impossible otherwise and I refuse to believe all this was coincidental. All the evidence suggest an intelligent creator.
>>
>>686293471
most theories state that the universe has always existed, not that it came from nothing
to be fair believing any theory about the origins of the universe is as much of a leap of faith as following a religion
>>
>>686290455
Essentially, yes
>>
>>686293882
>most theorists suggest the universe has always existed

That's bullshit and you know it. Also, it's not scientifically possible.

>be scientist
>don't know anwser to origins of energy
>refuse to believe in God because stereotypes
>give "universe" God like supernatural powers instead
They'd lose all respect in the scientific community with a half assed shortcut theory like that. The origins of the Big Bang are all that's up for debate.
>>
>>686294562
I understand the Big Bang theory was primarily devised by Chuck Lorre.
>>
>>686294562
there aren't any explanations for the origins of the universe that aren't a fruit salad of bullshit past what humans can understand

The evidence does seem to suggest there was a super ultra giga nigga "explosion" of energy at some point, however if you think about the scale of all of the energy It took to create everything in the universe there's simply no rational, natural cause possible.
>>
>>686295491
god of the unknown is not a valid argument
>>
>>686295845
logic means nothing when were talking about something incomprehensible.
>>
>>686295845
Out of all of the scientific theories about the origins of energy there's not a single one that's provable or lacking major flaws that can be pointed out.
>>
>>686296896
valid point
>>686296952
also valid, but that's the point of science, that no theory is never complete

>no theory is ever complete
Like gravity or all the laws of nature we use to create things every single day?
>>
>>686297503
if evidence came forth that disproved those without a shadow of a doubt, they would be discarded, but that's very unlikely, isn't it?

einstein came forth with a lot of shit on gravity that overturned things newton had said
>>
>>686298235
or rather, expanded on what newton had said to explain things newton could not, like the orbit of mercury
>>
>>686297503
also, the laws of gravity/whatever else are still incomplete. for example, they can not explain what happens at the core of a black hole
>>
>>686298590
Good points. Since scientist can't even figure out something that effects us everyday then We should REALLY be more skeptical about their guesses as to to origins of energy.
>>

The most plausible explanation I've come across for the origins of energy and life in general is intelligent design.

Our galaxy alone is such a chaotic environment I just can't see our origins and continued existence being a lucky coincidence.
>>
>>686292480
That assumes causality which is not exactly as concrete as our limited perception tells us.
>>
>>686299795
when there's an infinite amount of time for something to happen by chance, it will happen eventually

Multiverse theory. We are only alive because we exist in a universe where we haven't died, yet.
>>
>>686300144
Then why isn't there life on other planets? Why hasn't humanity been wiped out by an asteroid or solar flare?

If you look at the big picture it seems to suggest we were created and are being protected in comparison to everything else in the known universe.

The only thing that would convince me otherwise is another planet full of sentient beings with no knowledge of God.
>>
>>686300721
the conditions for life as we know it to happen are very specific, but in this bigass universe it's very likely there are more planets with life

we know of hundreds of planets that COULD support life, but we have no way of looking and knowing whether or not they do. ayy lmaos probably haven't ever visited earth though, since interstellar travel is very, very damn hard to do
>>
>>686301213
and as for why we haven't been wiped out by an asteroid or solar flare, solar flares don't do what you think they do and earth has probably been hit by huge asteroids before (that's one theory as to how the moon was created, and how most dinosaurs were wiped out)
>>
>>686301213
>inter stellar travel is hard
For humans maybe but if your "infinite possibilities" theory holds water then there's 100% chance aliens have mastered it, yet there are none.

Also, if evolution was true then EVERY planet should have life, just very different from ourselves. Yet they don't.
>>
>>686301868
why would every planet have life?
as for the likelihood of space trotting aliens, i suppose it's likely somewhere in the universe some race has managed it, but it is not definite.

unlike time, which is infinite, there are a finite number of planets, and thus only a finite number of chances for some ayy lmaos to manage interstellar travel. and even if they did, what interest would they have in earth? to them we would just be a bunch of retarded monkeys who can barely get off their own planet because we're too busy blowing ourselves up
>>
>>686302327
>infinite universe
>finite planets
>implying this "infinite possibilities" theory doesn't allow for life forms to form and live floating in space

If only there was a single shred of evidence supporting any of that it would be interesting.

Correct, Everyone and everything will cease to exist. That being a fact an afterlife is the only thing we as individuals can hope for. In fact, it's the only thing that would make our existence not meaningless.
