he is talking about biochem 2 here. metabloism is basically remmbering pathways but their is more to biochemistry than that. Biochemistry is weird becuase its not well understood due to in vitro studies often do not match in vitro. My professor used to answer every question in biochemistry with, "yes, no and it depends." Then she would explain why it could be or not and then how it depends on a lot of different factors. It was frustrating but really cool too

Decent layout of Average cash, but some of those fields are very general and lumped together, where the ones at the top are very specific.

Also, this is only financial benefit. What about things other than money, like benefits, power, connections?

I might only make 72k, but I don't have to pay for my living expenses (including rent) in a plush apartment (2 bedroom plus den). And I can call a friend up and get free air travel to 16 different destinations.

I like it a lot...it's almost like a 'perfect fit.' Growing up, I was that kid who sat in the back of the class, staring at all the flags and maps of countries in his Social Studies books (after thoroughly sniffing them). First is for what I love, last two is for shits and giggle since the last two, along with everything at this college, is free.
You don't turn down free college, especially from a top 100 that costs 80k a year.

Aren't USA electrical and mechanical engineers being replaced by curry Indians?

And who in the fucking world is gonna pay you that? Every commercial pilot I've met complains about how they aren't payed enough and treated like shit.

Pretty much just Calc 1+2, Algebra, and statistics. There's more math depending on how you specialize. I went deep into Econometrics and am making $87,000/yr.

Italy:
If it's true that a lot of architects don't work, it's also true that their families are rich and they have studied architecture just to do something interesting.
Architects here work pretty well and the job is well paid, not really different than civil engineers. That's because both can made small buildings, and for bigger one there are large workgroups with both architects, engineers and lots of other tecnicians.
Anyway i'm both an architect and a civil engineers and i must say that: composition >> calculus!

Why the fuck is IT crap such as programming and software engineering "God tier" while becoming an airline pilot is "Meh"?

Seems like anyone could sit on their ass all day and learn how to write code or make websites. Hell, I imagine most kids nowadays have basic knowledge in this, it's not exactly hard...

Becoming a pilot has physical requirements as well as the theoretical. There's physics, maths and engineering as well as learning how to fucking fly a piece of metal in the air.

Can second this. Depending on the program you may be able to do a lot of physical and analytical biochemistry, which is basically chemistry and much better if you don't like memorizing whole textbooks.
