I like the action a lot - running on walls and jumping insanely fast, having both melee weapons (including whips, jet powered hammers etc) and guns (including flamethrowers, sound wave emitters etc) and the warframe abilities. The options to either tank stuff with a shield and or go do stealth missions.. The enemies and environments are pretty cool too and some new ones have been added. And you can play with your friends if you have any.

On the other hand the grind is a pain, especially if you have just started.

If there's one thing you need to know before you start playing it, it's that progression isn't linear. There's no real endgame content.

What kept me playing was crafting all the diferent Warframes, weapons, and get all the mods(those give buffs to weapons and warframes, like elemental damage, more crit chance/damage, reload speed, power efficiency etc). Finding the best build for each mod and Warframe. Some mods were too rare or too expensive and not that necessary. I optimized the build of every weapon and Warframe I had. Once you've done this, there isn't much left to do, you can still play defense missions or survival, but if you get bored that's pretty much where it ends. Unless you have a clan, which may keep you playing for longer.
I used to raid every evening, it was pretty much the only thing that kept me playing. Eventually, some members who were a part of the "core" of the roster left, and the clan slowly disappeared.

It's somewhat split - the "old" community (which played DeS/DaS1) mostly favors the predecessors while the "new" community (which starting playing Souls games with DS2 or BB) favors those two. Many of the old community own all Souls games, not a lot of the new community do.
