I personally hate it. About 3 months ago it installed overnight after an automatic update, and at first, I was thinking to myself "well, it can't really be that bad right?" But then I ate my own words. Whenever I went into games, in combination with Skype, it completely fucked my audio channels (the audio itself was fine, but I had to choose the game or Skype) which was really, really annoying.

It may have been because my computer is pretty outdated though, but every other feature wasn't exactly "extraordinary".. but as a safe bet, if your computer isn't a toaster like mine, I'd probably suggest upgrading for the sake of upgrading, but I had to revert back to 8.1 myself because I found it pretty annoying and unbearable.

I like it, but I hate how its runs update installs and doesnt have the common courtesy to tell me about it until its installed. It sucks when platying a game and all of a sudden you're hit with lag and nothing pops up to say "this is why"

see win7 used to have the windows update icon on the tray... win10 doesnt. Only time I know shit installed is when I go to hit the shut down and it gives me the option to "install and shut down".

games run fine, everything got patched, included hardware (GPU, u name it) before win10 even got released to the public so i had my win7 pc updated a year ago and "win10 ready." (as nvidia called it)

I dont like the control menu layout. That shit hasnt been touched since win95 and now my old ass 30yr old self gets lost just trying to find the right menu in the control panel.

eveyrthing else feels fine. It just feels like a windows skin or UI mod for win7.

From what I've read, apparently some of the things it sends out are hard-coded too so it'll ignore hosts files. Only way to truly silence win10 is to block it with a configured router.
