Can I ask a quick question about this..?
Overwatch has been out for a while, but *so* long that amateur 3D models, rigs and animators could put together such high-quality works for... fun.
This makes me wonder if the reason we're seeing such accurate and realistic models is because the models from the actual game were somehow copied and used - then animated in probably the same software as what the original game developers used.
If that's so, thats kind of a big deal for the industry. But if the SFM animators are making the models and rigging from scratch, then thats a very different issue.

I think that's going to be a huge issue for game and movie developers going forwards. Models are the actors and actresses of the future -- and once your model is leaked, others can make them say/do anything they like. There's no equivalent problem in any other form of entertainment.
If, for example, HBO made a professional-grade Daenerys model and rigging for use in a game or animated movie, people will find a way to have her gangbanged by orcs and screaming for more. I can't even think of ways this will end up having interested consequences (beyond getting gangbanged by orcs)

there is so much more needed, if anything of value was to be made it would require story, the characters voice, context, scenery, all other mechanics of the game etc
people copying will probably even struggle with the characters personality at times considering its not their character.

I think the difference here is that in the OP, that isn't a webm of some artists rendition of what fucking D.Va in the ass might look like. Thats the actual, official D.Va model (with genetalia added). In otherwords, that IS D.Va taking it in the ass. It's not like D.Va taking it in the ass. That is actually "her" - for any reasonable definition of "her".
So, you know, game developers are going try to think of more and more ingenious ways to lock that shit down, and hackers are going to find more and more ways to get the models anyway.
There was a very popular series called Black Swan in the UK where all these "what if" situations were put forward, and one was a real-time rendered animation of I think a dog or something, who ran for Prime Minister. Because this dog was an animation, kids and grownups loved it/him, and he won the race (but the live-action guy controlling the animation became depressed). That was a nice idea 2 years ago - but these days I think its more realistic that such a "public figure" would get leaked, and end up fucking pig-men in an enchanted forest or something.
What I'm getting at is, there are laws protecting real people's likeness - defamation and so-on - but only copyright protects D.Va (and fair-use applies). One could even argue that adding a pussy to D.Va itself is a sufficient "improvement" to the likeness of the model, so patents and copyright are really really weak here. Model designers would probably have to add that shit and not use it just to protect the model.
I dont know. All i'm saying is it's probably a much bigger issue than just better rule34 content.
