sidenote anyone remember any of these 3 games? details may be foggy/wrong:

1) racing game, world is sorta post-apocalyptic, cars are all scraps of metal with engines, high speeds. one (level?) is a city filled with other cars

2) feels like a terminator game, youre a hitman in a leather jacket on a harley riding around town killing people with a shotgun, occassionally a 'clone' appears and you gotta take them out too

3) RTS village game? has an asterix vibe to it. when villagers reproduce a stalk flies in and drops a baby in the cottage home

Invisible Inc - if you don't mind it being turn-based, it gets pretty close (including emphasis on stealth and abilities over combat)
Masterplan is another modern game that probably gets pretty close, asking you to manage multiple characters during a heist
Satellite Reign focuses mostly on combat, but stealth is apparently also an option.

Also I've seen a lot of people mention Silent Storm and Jagged Alliance, but they're more of turn-based military combat simulators than about elaborate stealth planning.

Also apaprently Elite Forces: Unit 77 is pretty much Commandos, but it's on Nintendo DS, as the only one on this list.

Does anyone remember a game based on the moon where you were a character that could run around and use ships/vehicles and nodes to gather resources to buy more vehicles. You would have to fight enemies but if you killed them you could take their crashed vehicle and use it and the enemy would not know it was you until you shot them?

Pretty sure I'm right on the "crashed vehicles" point tho. Sniping enemy tanks and taking over them was fun however.

The Battlezone series is the only line of RTS+FPS games I know of, where you can control a tank in first-person directly while simultaneously commanding other units.
