Pascal's wager is silly because if you believe in 1 god, you must disbelieve in all other gods. Since more than one religion says having a god other than that one gets you a bad end, a bad end is inevitable since, obviously, you can't believe in any two of those religions at the same time.

As someone who believes in the existence of a God, the prevailing argument against your point is that the bug does not know much of anything. But, rather, its ancestor species found a niche - a unique way to acquire food and hide from predators. They didn't seek out this niche, it just happened. Those of them who looked more like leaves and trees happened to survive and thrive, relatively speaking. Those who did not died off, or else found other habitats, mated with others of its species in those separate habitats, and branched off as a separate species.
And it is critical to note that this theoretically took place over millions of years. Many times longer than all of human history.
