Look up the old videos of the Russian and Bulgarian olympic weightlifting teams. No where near the strongest. Even today America literally has no one to compete at that level.

We have a lot of strong powerlifters though but even then, the strongest person in that sport right now is Russian. In the lower weight classes, a lot of Americans from the golden era but not really so many new guys.

If you look at any of the strength sports (powerlifting, weightlifting, strongman), there are very few black people who are good at it and a lot of Americans who compete but get slaughtered by the Russians, Chinese, Bulgarians, and eastern Europeans.

No. It's just a fact. The reason America doesn't compete well in weightlifting is because they are too fucking stupid. Winning more medals doesn't make your country better. It's quality over quantity. America wins at a lot of sports because they have better training facilities, better drugs, and better living conditions. It has nothing to do with the athletes.

There are a few sports where that playing field is leveled and is dependent on the individual athlete more than anything else. Those are sports like weightlifting and wrestling. America doesn't do well at anything on a level playing field. Athletics, Education, Well being of the people, etc.
