I played football for my High School. Two games into my senior season, I had my knee blown out, ruptured my ACL, tore my patella tendon, and my meniscus. My letter of intent to join the marines was rescinded (thereby losing my shot at the full ride G.I. Bill for college) And because of my injury the team had to replace me with a freshman who couldn't stop a 3yr old from sacking the QB let alone a 210 pound pass rusher. I became a fucking pariah. I had originally planned not to go to prom, but did it as a last second favor to my friends who all had dates but no way to get there.

My dad had a client who owned a limo service and carted us up there in style. It kind of sucmed anyway since I was there without a date and I really don't care for dancing/prom atmosphere.

Looking back on it now I'm glad I went because I know my friends had a good time and if it werent for me then they would have had to have their parents drove them up to prom.
