Example: technology and automation will soon streamline many industries and make human workers obsolete. Is that really a good thing? What's more important? Strong revenues for corporations? Or employment for humans? In my mind, employment is the greater good for sure. Jobs are more important than progress and streamlining. So just because a robot can do it better, doesn't mean it should. This is the fundamental flaw in progressivism. I got a full scholarship by just applying myself. I did get a 31 in science and 28 in math on the ACT's though. My reading and writing scores are what brought me down there.

Then I got a full time job, saved my money and went back to school five years later full time without working more than 16 hours a month. Knocked out a computer support specialist degree in three terms and now make $50k just teaching retards at work how to draw a diagram in Visio and doing light repair and network work.

Then work through it. Not say it's not possible. Take a year off from school and work, save up money, then apply for scholarships and grants next year. Most colleges these days have these massive one application deals where you apply once, an awards committee hands out the scholarships, you send a thank you letter to the foundation and then go on your merry way.
