Changed apex seals on rebuilds, both rebuilds were done for different reasons. Fuck apex seals. That is all.
>Didn't replace ALL seals during rebuilds
This one is true.
>Didn't follow up on 1L Oil/1000 miles

The brz is a perfact car. With some skill and balls. You will light up most everything thays been posted on a proper circurt.
I bet most of the fags cars here wouldent last 20 minutes before the broke down or wrecked with all the power.
A brz is not for the faint harted or those who are afarid to step on the gas all the time through a turn.
Most fags here cant hope to drive a standard box, let alone rev the car out and engine brake while cornering.
Fyi i had one. Gonna want to improve the brakes a bit, and free up the exhaust however you want

Anyone who compares an M3 to a BRZ/FRS is stupid. Obviously the M3 is the better track car. But if you'd rather have a car that you can drift in below the speed limit because it has Prius tires then the FRS is the choice.
>>684392846
Just fucking with you. CVT's are good for gas mileage but from what I've heard, which is probably flawed and incomplete, they're not the fastest.

My GFs elderly dad has a giant Lexus something-or-other sedan, and a tiny Audi TT. Hes nearly blind in one eye, has balance issues, and i fear for his life every time he climbs into that lexus. I have to say the E46 M3 has supercar aesthetics for not even being a supercar. Grabs so much attention. You can park it in a big lot and it'll catch your eye over anything else.
And looks are just part of the reason why I adore the car.
>>684396413

>>684397647
Your forgetting the fact that manuals are alot more intuitive and fun to drive.
Ill admit for the standard rabble auto is much better, but Itll never feel the same as manual.
>>684395062
It doesn't take a genius to know an M3 is faster, but an FRS is more fun if you don't want to take it to a track or break speed limits to go crazy.

>>684397309

Getting a stick was, from what I can tell, the best decision I've made in my life.
If someone else needs to drive my car, I'm fucked. And if there's traffic it does suck. But overall I'd say I enjoy driving so much more with a manual than I would in an automatic. Shifting right when you want to as apposed to when the engine decides to are two completely different things.

Funny thing is after all the years of going up into country roads I find most accidents I see up there are from normal people and not from people speeding , yeah some people on bikes and in cars crash from speeding but only the idiots and that's not many.
Mostly it's people in 4WD's or Camrys that struggle to sit in one lane even at normal speeds and then they claim experience. I still take caution speeding through twistes though. I'd be dead otherwise , keep serious stuff for the track no late braking or anything in the twisties just throw it in through corners and brake early and in one lane ofcourse.

If you're going to be in traffic everyday, then an automatic would be a lot nicer for that aspect.
You're missing the whole point of why shifting becomes more intuitive. When you accelerate in a manual, depending on how fast/far you depress it, the car's computers determine when to change gears. When you drive a manual, you decide the exact moment you want to change gears. So if I wanna redline every single start, I can. But someone in an automatic without padle shifters, and even those that do have paddle shifters are often nothing like actually shifting in a manual, has to shift the moment the computer decides to.

Please learn what cognitive dissonance is
Those that realize they made the wrong decision will be more willing to defend it

Well it was very early for it's time especially the SMGI in the E36s. They were the first manufacturer to put it in a road car. Derived from F1.
Worst or most innovative?
It's actually pretty neat, just not for me.
And all autos have disadvantages over a stand version transmission.
Bedtime for me too.

Do you not know what the L-2-3 positions in an automatic are?
>>684399423
This is retarded for a couple of reasons, allow me to tell you why. A reverse j-turn is ridiculously, profoundly stupidly, retardedly simple to do, provided you are in a front wheel drive manual transmission automobile. I can do it drunk. Not hitting cars or the curb on either side of the road is the difficult part.
Secondly, you couldnt ever do it in an automatic, and you saying that you could makes you a moron.

When you accelerate in an automatic*
It's ok...

Nope, autos built in the last 5 to 10 years. They all take a second to engage from neutral to drive, or neutral to reverse. Its literally instantaneous with a stick, because stick.

>Grabs so much attention. You can park it in a big lot and it'll catch your eye over anything else.
It'll get attention from people who like cars. The average person if just gonna see it as on old bmw. They are sexy cars though.

Is that a truck thing? Never noticed it.

My wife's Corolla is 6 years old and it's literally instant
I can rev in neutral and drop it to either drive or reverse
>>684400631
Sounds like bullshit to me, I've got a couple of modern autos at my house and they're pretty much instantaneous.
Conversely I drive a manual and it definitely takes longer that one second to depress the clutch, put it in first then start moving.

No, it's an almost every car thing

Thanks Dr. Phil
That means I would've made a mistake, and I didn't, and that I would've had to realize it, which is impossible because it was not a mistake, rather the opposite. Manuals have their downsides, but I don't think I'll ever buy a car for myself that won't be one.
