I like Dalmations and basset hounds and bloodhounds, bloodhounds need strenuous exercise for at least 7 hours a day though. If not they tare up your house and go crazy. it's best to have one of you live on a farm with land they can run around on their own all day.

Bloodhounds and Border collies are amongst some of the worst dogs in terms of exercise, because it lies so deep within their bloodlines/race, remember they used to be a working dog going not so many generations back, not a lap dog.
Dalmatians and great danes for that sake is not a huge problem, they are more sort of attention seeker, but still need a good 1½ hour of play/work every day
