I went to shit ass UC San Diego for undergrad, and then Columbia for grad school. So even with living in other cities LA, my hometown, is my favorite city. No place offers surfing, snowboarding, restaurants, women, and fun like LA does. I have done well and have a nice place way up high in Studio City and a small condo in awesome Newport Beach.

I loved Manhattan, but the hills of LA always bring me home, NYC too flat - way more expensive. San Diego boring as fuck and filled with Rednecks losers in the military. If you want four season weather then NYC might be better. Also if you are not in the entertainment industry you will always be on the outside looking in, so if you want the hot females find a job in showbiz.

Also LA is huge, but the hip areas would be The Westside, the beach areas, Studio City, Sherman Oaks.
