I am of the opinion that Homo Sapiens as a species doesn't really give much of a shit about sexual preference, it comes down to culture. So that said, what about transgenderism? Well, some studies have found that bathing the fetus in abnormal hormones leads to brain changes which do indeed seem to show differing pathways in the brain. To me this says that it's a disease, not something the person can help. Trans folks tend to be pretty miserable- they aren't happy with their body and they aren't really happy with their new half-body either. I can't really blame them for it.

But I think about it akin to a teratogenic disease, in which case it isn't the person's fault at all. You don't blame someone for having been born blind. You do what you can to help them become full, active members of society as much as possible. You don't even need to pity them- they're people just like you.

Let's call it consciousness, or whatever else we want, but let's not confuse this with Agency, Entity, God, Goddess, Male, Female, Animal, Plant, Mineral, Human, etc.. You get the idea. We place 'Identity' on this illimitable sea of consciousness the same way we identify an individual wave in the ocean. It comes and it goes like clothing, like a death shroud, but that is not the 'real' Self! We can identify with the Infinite Ocean of possibilities, or some narrow band of experience. This is NOT to say that Gender is a social construct. It is not. Social structures derive from gender identity and interaction. I am merely, yes radically, saying that mayhaps All Is Verb! There Are No Nouns! Maybe neither Shiva nor Shakti 'exist', yet All of existence is the interaction between these two polarities; just as one magnet has two poles, and an area of relatively chaotic influence.
