10 grand is more than enough there are apps you can use on Android phones and also on the computer on a PC.

I use a very complicated method which is a variation of J+ count. I keep track of five separate categories and then I run probabilities in my head, I'm a bit of a savant with numbers but that's not required.

You don't get a W-9 for cashing out $10,000. If more than $10,000 is paid out or brought in, in cash, the cage (or any bank) has to fill out a cash transaction report (CRT) and keep it on file. They are not automatically filed with the IRS. The forms that get sent to the IRS are Suspicious Activity Reports.

A W-9 isn't for a profit and loss report. You can get those simply by having a player's card. A W-9 is given if you win a jackpot, not for normal table game winnings. They aren't collecting your information for a W-9, if what you are saying is true. I look for other people that are likely counting and stay away from them. I play alone, I use that card that's in the picture every time I play and I referred to the card on nearly every single match no matter how simple the match so that I never make a mistake. If the dealer makes a mistake I catch and call them on it every single time and I go get my bed back or force them to let me take a card or whatever. Just calling dealers on their mistakes increased my probability of profiting by about 3%. Because the dealers usually screw up at least once or twice per shoe.

I use a variation of the J+ count. I picture and envision an abacus which is a skill I learned as a child to do basic math. No I am not Asian. I used the Abacus that I Envision in my mind to count in my mind categories of cards that I group into one of five categories.
