Shit's definitely worth it. Didn't study a related major, not ever big on banking, but liked my Math and History degrees helped get useful skills. Research skills in particular. The job changes as much as the industry does, so it keeps me engaged. (think like The Big Short, just less glamorous. I'm like the dealer at the poker table, not an actual player that gambles away the economy).

Luckily my managers and superiors are cool and actually recognize when someone puts in hard work or does a good job(have had two promotions in the last year)

On the side I do amatuer modeling on weekends/evenings. It is what I did part time before I got my current job, and I enjoy it enough that I want to keep doing it while I am able. That pay varies. Sometimes I do a shoot for free if it is good exposure, but that is usually only if I set it up on my own with the client. If my agency sets one up for me, they never get us one that pays less than $125 per hour.
