But I do want to say that I was pretty much the same way for a long time. I didn't have a job until I was 25 (last year) and friends were always trying to buy me games and shit so we could play together. At some point a girl I'd known for 7 years somehow convinced me to go for a job that another friend "accidentally" got thrown at me (told the head guy that I was ready for an interview, so I got the call with 10 minutes warning and I spaghetti'd it for sure). Somehow though, she got me to follow through on it.

It took me all over the country, and I met a lot of people. A lot of them were useless asshats. Some were decent. Most stopped talking once we went to different areas. But it was a good experience and helped me figure out shit that I want more than anything. I'm even going halfway around the world to visit the girl that convinced me to do all this.

Life isn't perfect and people are still shitbags, but they're not all bad. I was pretty content to be alone, and I still enjoy alone time like I'm having right now, but I've found room in there for a few close friends too.

Never felt comfortable hustling small amounts of cash. I avoid difficult shit I'm supposed to do too much, so that the stress of a fluctuating income is far greater than just having a stable one, and not needing to worry. I have little desire to work, too, I'd rather butn the days away, but it's a bit of a necessary evil, and I got some customer service IT work, so I don't have to have any lasting contact with clients, and have fairly engaging tasks. But then again, the stuff at work stays at work, it's like a second life, somewhat. Like you go be someone else you're not used to being for some hours a day. I wasted years on D&D, so its made it a bit easier.
I sometimes think of kids, but I know that I have a cruel streak and little empathy, so I'd better avoid it.

To be honest, I've had more the white collar type jobs excluding the summers of 10h+ landscaping which sucked ass and was forced upon me back when I still lived with my parents. I can't pretend to relate to much, but see if you can't find something that interests you, get an internet connection, and make a marketable skill out of it; those will usually end up white collar. It's absurd what sort of shit people will throw money at you for. I'd say the hard work jobs would /look/ like dedication and willingness to work hard to a potential employer, and degrees and shit are so watered down these days that some two or three hours a day for a year or so will get you equivalen or better expertise at any task.
