From my experience girls generally do a lot more than guys. Also Girls generally have less self-control do end up doing more than they should more often than guys.

Maybe that is just how I choose to se it though. If your talking about taking drugs to party or have a good time, lot's of women do that. Hell, when it comes to alcohol, they may even do it more.

If your talking about using drugs as a coping method, women do that as well. It's just more common for men to turn to drugs, women tend to have other methods, usually ones that involve trying to get attention.

Overall I think it's a combination of societal and biological differences. When it comes to breaking the law, men are more likely to do it, and thus more likely to experiment with drugs. Maybe it's just the girls I've known, but they also seem to get out of hand easier and regret things faster. So a lot of girls get into drugs briefly, have a bad experience and then give it up.
