I mean its a $18 knife. You get out what you put in. Probably won't be terrible, probably won't be amazing.

Grip looks a bit weird IMO though

I have a large drawer full of knives in the kitchen and ever restaurant I've ever been to provides cutlery...

So why would I put one in my pocket?
>>
>>681225931
My suggestion is you picked the correct price. Although there are much higher quality knives for a higher price, don't forget that there will be times when people will ask you about it and if you don't respond properly, attempt to disarm you. Of course do everything you can to prevent such a thing but in the event it's confiscated and "you can pick it up at the station", you can bet your ass it'll "go missing from the locker"

Check out a local store if you can, find out what fits well in your hand. Everyone has different preferences. $30 will get you a fairly nice knife

No. I just realize there is a criminal element in society and am prepared for it. Crime doesn't only happen in the ghetto at night.
And I'm assuming you mean carrying a gun, because everyone should carry a knife, they're incredibly useful tools
>>
>>681232230
It's a bad angle. Look up Cold Steel Finn Wolf for specs.
>>
>>681233338
Make it.

Here in America we buy "build/repair kits" for things we aren't legally allowed to buy but technically are still allowed to own.

Switchblades, butterfly knives, standard capacity magazines, etc.
>>
>>681233338
Why would you want one, they're for tryhard sperglords
>>
>>681233510
nah. i live in a very safe area.
i really dont view my knives as weapons. i view them as tools. a hammer is generally not considered a weapon but if you had to you could use a hammer as a defensive weapon. the same applies to knives for me.

I live in CA, our laws say that we can own butterfly/auto knives, we just can't have them in public, or buy/sell/trade them. So we buy them as "kits" which is just the knife with one piece missing that you have to put in yourself.

I have one, but I find them too heavy and bulky to carry around. I don't want it on my belt, and a slim pocket knife is so much easier to just put on the side of my pocket with a clip

For most day to day tasks a knife does just fine. I generally leave my multitool in the car so it's still easy to grab if I need it for heavier tasks

The top one is a Emerson Karambit. As said earlier in this thread, yes it is a flashy self defense knife. I use it for slicing through thick Line-X shit at work and never feel safer when hiking. Not expecting threatening wildlife but it simply puts my mind at ease. Also possibly the worlds most expensive box cutter. Decent sharp blade, made with refined 440 steel which surprised me... but i'm not disappointed.

The bottom one is a Kershaw tanto blade. Seen a lot of miscellaneous use through demolition, some automotive work, and hiking. Flips open so sexy and easy to resharpen

skeletool my old multi thats a bit worn plyers quite good (for what i use them) terrible blade almost useless good comfortable grip for plyers.
other leatherman sidekick i found on a job retired my skele and replaced with sidekick the file snapped and the "saw" thing tip snapped very easy plyers not as good as skele uncomfortable also. knife in mid is my everyday everything its super cheap knife but handle is lightweight and fits my hand perfectly blade is amazing teeth are a MUST for me after having them here.

does anyone actually use their gear or just carry around?
if so what for job/camping ??
im an ATM tech and i cant carry around an entire tool bag up and down the area sometimes 20min walk oneway into shopping mall to find machine
i would love any suggestions of multi-tool that are good. skele was good but blade useless.

You know nothing of functionality in knives. Karambits were built only for fighting and the shape offers devastating slashes, moderate stabs, the ability to hook your opponent and the ringed back for non-lethal strikes.... Granted though for most daily purposes it is not particularly useful

thanks man. it replaced another kershaw i had. every time i lose one I buy one double the value as an incentive to keep it.

they are ruthless things i beat the shit out of my knives. why buy a knife if you're gonna just keep it safe and looking pretty all the time

I prefer fixed, but it holds a nice edge and I can take it to work.

true true that would be much better. however im guessing still wouldnt have teeth.
i use the teeth (or whatever they called serrations) to cutting zip ties off wirelooms, also after a bit of practice they are really good for stripping wires too.

In college, sue me if I'd rather have food than a $200 knife

No kidding

Idk why people have a "rotation" of $30 knives when they could just have one nice one instead of 5 or 6 meh ones, especially when they're all pretty much the same.

Variety is the spice of life. Besides, what's wrong with getting good value knives?
>>
>>681242939

if anyone ever gets into a hostile situation where they need to use a knife they probably won't care so much about the knife being gone
