Let's suppose trans people really are delusional. What consequences necessarily follow from that in terms of how we treat them? I'm not sure any do. Yes, you could be a dick to trans people, you could deny them rights or access to various treatments, etc. but we could also ask what we have to gain in doing that or taking some other course of action. What are we losing by letting trans people live happy lives?

If that person cited as evidence his collection of red building blocks, would have actually established that all 3D shapes are red? Of course not. All he's proved is that some 3D shapes are red.
