Here's a way to make a pro quality joint if you have no idea what you're doing. It takes a while, but it works.

Roll the paper around the fat end of a chop stick, seal it, and pull it off.

Cut a strip from a normal piece of paper about .5-1 inch by 3 inches. Roll it up into a tight cylinder- this is your roach/crutch. Stick that in the skinny end of the rolling paper.

Hook the bobby pin around the inner-most layer of the crutch and unroll it so it's tight against the rolling paper. Keep going so the paper folds over a few times to block weed from falling through.

Grind your weed and start loading it in the wide end of the rolling paper. Tap the crutch end on a table regularly to pack the weed down. You can also use the chop stick to pack it.

DON'T PACK IT TOO TIGHT OR IT WILL BE UNSMOKABLE. You can suck on the skinny end like you're hitting it to test this. You should be able to pull air through.

Keep packing it until there's only about 1/8 inch of empty rolling paper at the fat end. Pinch that and shake it a bit to pack that last bit in. Now twist it tight.

Light it and enjoy.

Yeah, I've always been told or heard that the proper time to smoke a joint or a blunt is when in the company of others that way you can get a rotation going. Bongs are usually for solo use although I have shared it with someone else. You can get a good 4 burns in a bowl before you have to clear it.
