They're basically dark humor about cute little things facing tragedies. Intentional abuse is the laziest thing about the fandom, but originally the fluffies were just cute pets getting in trouble.
Fluffies suffering due to their own stupidity is still the most universally loved genre of fluffy entertainment, so if anyone here has interesting ideas for pictures or stories, please tell post them here!

I get the abuse angle, and I assume nonabusers do it so they don't constantly run around making messes,
