I have a coworker that owns one.Ergos are shit. Only holds 9 rounds of .45 despite being huge as fuck. They are heavier than a normal pistol because of the straight blow back design.

The sights are also garbage and while I was able to get a decent group at 7 yards it was nowhere near perfect.

Would I own one? No. I save up my money and buy nice pistols. Are they decent firearms? Hard to say. They are cheap but for just $100-150 more much better pistols are available.

Here's the thing though, take a standard flock/m&p/XD/etc for example...the mark up on most guns is 15% of the dealer price, that means sometimes the afformentioned guns only bring $10-20 profit. OP most probs with the hi-point can be eluded with use of +p(+p+) rounds. These rounds are "hotter" than standard 9mm rounds. This helps cycle the neededly heavy slide for its blowback design. Most problem are due to bad grip and cheap ammo. Use + P only. With that said the hi-point is fucking reliable as shit.
