I was also on 200mg of Sertraline a couple years ago until I weaned myself off of them. I had a mental breakdown a few months ago and currently on 100mg, but expecting to get my dosage increased.

I've also used weak benzodiazepines and Ambien for sleeping issues.

Sigh, I honestly don't think anything is going to get better for me.
>>
>>680838578
Why Ritalin? I've been wondering if it could help me because my mind is constantly racing.
>>
>>680838578
I've also been on about 10 other antidepressants and antipsychotics in the last 10 years

Venlafaxine 300mg

What was it like coming off Sertraline? I was at 150mg and weaned myself down to 25. When i tried to go lower than 25 I had this weird brain shocks and couldn't sleep, panic attacks, losing track of time and it generally felt like I was going crazy. Anyone else have similar experiences?

Lexapro and Abilify

I tried seroquel a few times and i would always feel paranoid

found out later my uncle who is half crazy won a lawsuit like 20 years back against saroquel.

so fuck that never touching it again

I've been struggling with overwhelming negative feelings for around 8 years now. It isn't every day and I've generally hidden it. My career has gone really well in the last 4 years and it hasn't improved my emotional state at all. 3 weeks ago I started taking a low dose of citalopram (10mg) and I've never felt closer to suicide than I do tonight. The only thing calming me down is that I know that when you start, it can make things worse before making it better (such a low dose though...).

Fuck citalopram. I really think I need something stronger and more effective.
>>
>>680838311
Currently on sertraline 100mg, it's really helped me.
>>
>>680840422
>this is me

There's another drug that I've been taking for about 4 years which has genuinely helped me manage- cocodamol (30/500). The paracetamol is terrible for my liver but I'd say it's actually the reason I've been able to get a career going (I'm 28. I was 24 before I got my first real job). If I could just get codeine it might help more but tbh, I've limited myself pretty well to 2 cocodamol per day (when I get home from work, so I sleep well). On rare occasions I'll take 2 with lunch but I avoid that as much as possible. If I did have pure codeine I might not be so restrictive with myself... so maybe it's for the best. Sometimes you really just need something that can cheer you up and calm you down in the moment.

Sertraline 175mg here. Thanks to my amazeballs dr I'm still here.

Doc just prescribed me this. I left the office and then read hundreds of reviews on it. About 95% of the reviewswere overwhelmingly negative but my Doc insisted the side affects I mentioned about reading were exceedingly rare in the population that take it. People were talking about feeling waves of electricity flow through their brain once or twice a day, short term memory problems, one body builder talked about his extreme weight gain which freaked me out since I'm extremely fit and ocd about my appearance.

People also mentioned they became extremely suicidal and deeply depressed coming down off effexor. My doc tried to explain to me that this was coming from a minority group but after reading the possibilities I never picked up the prescription. Looking into alternatives currently.

I was very anti medication, been offered anti depressants for a number of years but didn't take them, but eventually felt I had no other options. It took a few months but it's really helped me, been on them for approaching a year. It's my plan to come off them within the next 6 months.

Usually takes about a month to really start doing its magic.

For me, I started on a new med a couple months ago. In the last few weeks after increasing the dosage I'm noticeably in a better mood and just feel more normal. That's really the only way to describe it.

It makes it easier to distract yourself from how much we can learn about the paranoid, isolationist, overprotective backlash against social freedom that started when the hippies all fell for Reagan.

How much can we learn about Munchhausen syndrome, while people are trying to use the last of their "haha, social construct" effort to serve the true scum of society?

Since most of us are introverted and introspective you start thinking about past situations in a new light and it's like "Oh, now I realize why no one has ever liked me"
>>

It's actually very easy to extract the codeine, and much healthier for your liver. All you need is a freezer. Google cold water codeine extraction
>>
>>680843852
>>680844141
>>680841252
Effexor is the devil. If you skip a dose,or God forbid you run out and miss several, you get the brain zaps and ...it's the worst feeling and it doesn't stop....I've run out before on vacation and you're just fucked if that happens.

I'd been on it 8 years when I started tapering off...took me 2 years to get to where I am today, 11 beads out of a full capsule. If I take one less, I get aggro as fugg and a little dizzzy and no patience...just one wrong move away from getting thrown in jail for something dumb...so I've been on that small dose for a few years cuz I'm scared.

That said, taking a full dose was a little like floating on a cloud
>>
>>680845764

Agreed, was on effexor for 2 years, was a complete zombie on it.

Wellbutrin is awesome. Combine it with weed and your depression will almost vanish.

I quit paxil cold turkey after a month because it had me so depressed I was threatening significant self harm and was damn near suicidal. Ssri and snri meds work primarily on treating depression. By treating the depression, you tend to see relief of the anxiety because they tend to be linked together and play off of one another. Often you'll see someone get a low dose of neurontin or Seroquel or vistaril or Haldol or benadryl or Depakote to augment the effects of the antidepressant and to work directly on reducing anxiety/irritability/agitation/insomnia.

Docs don't like to give benzos like Xanax klonopin Valium Ativan librium because they are addictive and unnecessary in most cases to use for longer than one to two weeks.

Zoloft.
Does anybody think I can OD on about 20 50mg pills of this shit?
>>
>>680851037
Shhhhh! Don't tell anyone. I've been making a fortune on the over prescription of psychotropics, especially atypical antipsychotics for PD.

Escitalopram, 15mg

>>680849902
I gained 35kg on Paxil. I never felt full on it. Not once. Been on Zoloft, lost the weight, and feel well.

Why would you want to OD specially on something non recreational like Zoloft. Speaks to me like it hasn't been doing its job

Lithium and risperidone
>>
I already said it, but it's worth repeating.

If you are seeing a regular doctor for these meds and it isn't working well for you, go see a psychiatrist (not psychologist or licensed therapist) they are so much better at dealing with this shit. And you don't have to get therapy. They can just manage your meds. A hell of a lot better than your regular doc. I've been seeing my psych for 3 months and it was the best decision I've ever made for my mental health. And I've been dealing with depression for over 10 years.
>>
>>680840422
Oxycodone has basically cured my depression.
>>
>>680852345
Tried respiradone one day, felt so restless and wanted to fucking kick shit. Awful feeling. Never again
>>
>>680849079
ayyy same here
>>
>>680851931
Guaranteed no you cannot. Some people regularly take 800mg or more daily of zoloft. Might make you feel uncomfortable though.
>>
>>680852263
I don't really know of any way to get anything else. And I've got this here now so why not.
>>
>>680852147
Zoloft just made me angry all the time.

Pretty amazing how stuff can affect people so differently

I wouldn't call myself a genius but I know I'm intelligent. I also breezed through high school without ever studying. Then I went two college, had no idea how to study and dropped out. I'm 31 now and afraid to ask a Dr. about getting diagnosed. I also have terrible anxiety.

So I'm about to get started on Wellbutrin but I read it's pretty bad to mix with alcohol or weed?
>>
>>680852453
how?
>>
>>680837326
wellbutrin, 300 mg. makes me based, alpha as fuck. also olanzapine 5 mg because i can't sleep even before wellbutrin.
>>
>>680852927
>medicinal lsd
?!?!?! where do you live?
>>
Was on sertraline for a year. All it did was make me sleep 12-16 hours a day and gave me constant migraines. Switched to citalopram for 6 months. Same shit. Cut it off cold turkey and haven't been to my doctor since. The withdrawal was hell but at least I'm no longer asleep all day.
>>
>>680852833
Just do it. Nothing bad will happen from seeking help.
>>
>>680853073
just out off psycho hospital
>>
>>680852970
Nah, zero interaction. Same with SSRIs and all that shit. Only real drugs like benzo interact.
>>
>>680852708
Tegretol can treat bipolar mania really well, but it also has a feature that causes it to be potentially lethal to asians. Sounds like bullshit but it's true. Genetic testing is expensive but it's pretty useful in determine what medications will be helpful without having to try 20 different things over a ten year span just to find the right med.
>>
Dolocontine
>>
>>680852970
alcohol with wellbutrin is a no-no for me, I get drunk very fast, not happy or angry kind of drunk, i become dizzy very fast and need to lie down and sleep even with a pint or two. I'm 180 lbs. and hardly gotten drunk before.
>>
>>680852833
My anxiety is pretty rough.

It's tough to ask about this shit, but it's their job.

I still have to have the official ADD "test" but I'm super hopeful about getting treated. Right now I feel like I suck at being an adult and I just can't deal any more.
>>
A bit off topic, but does anyone drink Sake? I want to know if I can get away with drinking it before work, or does it have an odor on the breath?
>>
>>680853194
where? in which state of usa? so you get lsd only in hospital?
>>
>>680853146
I hope to eventually. I live in the US with no health insurance so seeing a psychiatrist will be crazy expensive.

DXM (no joke).

For me it does what antidepressants are supposed to do. When I'm on it I feel confident, mostly happy, I feel very little physical pain which helps me a lot, I feel almoat like I'm wearing a shell around me to protect me from harm. If someone hurts me I can choose to not let it bother me. Or I can choose to get angry and defend myself. As opposed to my old behaviour, internalize it and pretend its not a problem.
>>
>>680853364
>and hardly gotten drunk before.
tbh that is your problem. if you drank regularly it would be a non-issue but still good advice.

I recently got put on 10mg of olanzapine and tried tripping acid last night to no avail. Makes sense but, damn, I wanted to trip and the meds neutralized it
>>
>>680853579
The problem isn't the booze you drank on your breath it is the alcohol from your lungs that smells. That is why you fail breathalyzer tests. All alcohol is expelled through your lungs, no matter what you drink. Be careful anon.
>>
>>680853763
What's to tell?
>>
>>680852453
I feel like a much better version of myself on pretty much any opiate.

How is it Wirkung for you. Im on 40 mg ed now since like 4 weeks and I dont get any effects really
>>
>>680853579
Squirt a shot of vodka up your ass before work. Quick absorption and your breath won't smell. Might want to try less first. You can get alcohol poisoning pretty easily with alcohol in your ass.
>>
>>680837326
wellbutrin and zoloft

gotta make sure i dont shoot up the school, y'know?

Dude, stop doing drugs if you are that messed up. You aren't freeing your mind or helping your mental illness. Shy away from pot too. Trust me.
>>680854038
>breath won't smell
You'll still fail a breathalyzer hence you will smell.
>>
>>680853944
Dosage? How does it seem to help?
>>
>>680849374
Don't fucking eat when you get hungry from that shit. It's not that hard. Slow metabolism my ass.
>>
>>680853910
Oh I didn't know that, thanks. How long does it last. I want to drink the bottle around 9.00, and I start work at 11.30.
>>
>>680854200
it IS hard
>>
>>680854152
>will smell
Didn't know that. Makes sense though. Learn something new every day
>>
>>680854038
I'm not drinking to get drunk, just for the taste. I never drink, but I'm into food and heard how nice it is so I'm excited to try it tomorrow since I got some today but got in very late.
>>
>>680854390
Your breath will smell for as long as you have alcohol in your body. That said unless you are shitfaced and someone is right up close they won't notice, your behaivior is more telling.

I go to work shitfaced after drinking all night with maybe a few hours of sleep (so few hours no booze) and been fine.

Shitty life to live tho, talk to a doctor man.
>>680854651
Oh then who cares just don't be drunk when you go to work lol
>>
1 pint of smirnoff per day by oral
>>
>>680854408
I agree. It's really fucking hard.

For me, it's less the meds and more the depression. I eat my feelings a LOT when it's not controlled well.

8mg suboxone daily. Feels great that im not snorting fentanyl anymre but my anxiety is comin back and my fam doc doesnt give a shit. And my sub doc seems hesitent to give me benzos.

Tldr im not going on anti depressants alrdy tried it. Its garbage.
>>
>>680854408
Well. Tbh I take that shit at night to sleep, when I get hungry I just go to sleep. I never took big doses during the day and it actually makes me feel like shit. Like melancholic and suicidal.
>>
>>680855075
If you aren't drunk, and you didn't drink it within 30 minutes no one will notice. And no one will care unless you are a minor anyways.

Its only if you are drunk that your breath smells from the large amount of alcohol expelled from your lungs on your breath, which is how breathalyzers work.
>>
Escitalopram. (Cipralex/Lexapro).

>>

still taking it?
>>
Today?

1/2 mg of xanax
600mg of phenibut

Gotta make it through the day, really don't want to get hooked on this phenibut but its better than doing 1mg or more a day of benzos
>>
>>680854192
240mg once or twice a week.
But it's not an instant cure, as in "take this and immediately feel better." In fact, I usually don't like to be around people until the high has worn off (6+ hrs). If you've never used it, don't take it lightly. It can be a REAL mindfuck, esp at higher doses.

Well im pretty sure my management will care. Thanks for the advice anyway. Looks like I've got the go ahead from you.

I stopped taking 375mg Effexor about a year ago. It really 'worked' for me, as in it helped with my anxiety and I didn't really feel down that often. It helped with my social, love, and educational life. However it also made me into a proper shitcunt. I was really callous and cruel at times and pretty reckless in regards to my own health, taking stupid risks driving, picking fights with people that ended up kicking my ass. Also I was having pretty shit sex due to finishing maybe 2/5 times.

However since I quit, I've become more and more anxious and reclusive, my social life is gone and my education is in danger due to low attendance.

I'm considering going back onto Effexor and, well.. I basically wanna ask people's opinions on whether they think Effexor can actually do what I thought it did for me? It could have all been in my head, but my psych just recently pointed out to me that the beginning of my recent reclusiveness started only a couple of months after I dropped Effexor.
>>
>>680852970
I heard really good stuff about Wellbutrin, pretty much everyone that takes it loves it. Also mixing with weed seems to elevate the effects
>>
>>680849770

>>
>>680837326
200 ounces of malt liquor.

Also, it's made me lose weight (about 10 pounds). So I guess that's potentially a bonus.
>>
I'm getting high on life
>>
>>680853671
Let it go anon. It's not sustainable
>>
>>680855713
Try to drink it as far away from when you work, brush your teeth, eat a bit of food, don't drink so much to be impaired an you're good. I drink a few beers at lunch all the time and no one knows.
>>
Risperidone here
>>
>>680843631
Well fuck me. Point F is the damn bane of my life. Always felt physically incapable of the stuff. Guess I might actually be.
>>
>>680855757
There are other meds similar to effexor that are out there. For me, the main problem with effexor was I was just emotionally flatlined. So my psych put me on cymbalta.

Ask about something similar.
