Dunno man, I consider my rig as "high-end" already and I'm not an adept of total overkill (like a lot a nerds) in terms of what I put in my PC.

There are two things wrong with this statement. Nobody no matter how insane would RAID0 SSDs and see a noticeable increase in speed. Fuck benchmarks, I mean actually experiencing the difference.
The second thing is it still doesn't make any difference. All you're getting rid of in an SSD vs. RAMdisk scenario is microstuttering. Nothing else. No load times will actually improve by any margin.

but why do they exist? people want more speed, they dont want the south bridge in the way of access to their storage, and they dont want to be constrained by SATA speed limitations. PCI-E SSDs can deliver speeds in the GiB/s, people clearly want that, and manufacturers clearly want to deliver faster speeds because SSD DIMMs seem to be becoming a thing.
