But because whiteness is a social construct not based in biological realities it would be awkward for a me as a mixed race person to say I am white without also saying I am black. But I can just as well say I am black without saying I am white because blackness is rooted in biological reality unlike whiteness, which is based on social stratification and racial caste system. When the racial caste system is removed only then would is be socially acceptable for me as a mixed race person to say I am white, without also having to say I am black.
