we turned over like two people each month while I was there with about 20 people on payroll at any given time
less than a month after starting, my boss made me supervisor and I stupidly accepted because I'd never been promoted before and I thought it would be a nice way to move up
WRONG
I received no training on how to manage people and had no idea how to manage anyone, and I got fuckall training on my other duties
I was given no actual authority and basically had to cry to the big boss if anyone fucked up
worst of all, nobody respected me at all because I was so new to the job and promoted above people who had been there longer AND I was no good at my job

I really did want to do well, but I just didn't have the tools to actually do it
my boss never should have promoted me, but I should have recognized that I wasn't ready for a supervisor position and turned down the offer
now I know I guess

after a while, I sorta got phased out of doing supervisor stuff, and I know it was because I wasn't doing a good job, but my boss never actually said it to my face
a couple months later and I kept getting scheduled for dishroom
it became apparent to me that my boss didn't want me around, but didn't want to say anything to my face
when I quit, they had someone training to replace me the next day
