That's why I've been married for a decade, have a wonderful son (also on the autism spectrum, but not in special education and is at the top of his class), and have people who can depend on me.

You know, I have a pain response where when pain is within a certain range, I laugh. It freaked nurses out when I was younger when I was getting blood drawn and I started giggling. It was always amusing.

I laugh at the unexpected like everyone else. I laugh at the absurd. I sometimes even laugh when people get hurt. That doesn't mean that I feel satisfied or really that happy from having laughed.
