All the anti-marriage sentiment sounds great and makes sense if you're in the 20-34 age bracket. I didn't marry when I was in that age bracket either, for a lot of the same reasons listed here.

What a lot of you will find is that as you get older, there are fewer and fewer people around you who maintain common interests with unmarried people. As your friends marry and have kids, their time becomes consumed by their own family (as it should) and they have less time for friends. As this happens, you can either settle down yourself, or start hanging out with younger people. Younger friends are great but eventually you become the awkward older guy.

If you stick it out for the long haul as a bachelor, and it works for you, great. Just do it knowing that there's a high likelihood that when you get very old, your life will be lonely. And when you are dying, you'll have no family around to comfort you.

it's funny because i have a friend in the exact same situation as you. he's about 5'8 and he's very socially awkward because of reasons, but he's also has thinning hair which makes him lack even more confidence with chicks. what i've realized is he becomes more popular and accepted by chicks when he's chilling with me because he opens up more and becomes a laughable and jokey type of person. all of his height worries go out of the window at that point and chicks probably don't even think about his height as much because he's entertaining and has a fun personality.
