Not even sure how this qualifies as "YLYL' unless you are trying to prove you are a complete dumbass.
1. I have worked as a steel fabricator for almost 20 years now. Those tanks sit all over welding and fabrication shops all day long. Nothing unusual or risky here at all. Certainly not dumb, and definitely not YLYL. Just evidence of a moron poster on 4chan that doesn't understand what is and what is not a proper fire safety precaution.
2. The tanks are nearly bomb proof, and certainly designed to be fire proof. You're a moron if you don't know this by just looking. You'd have to sit at one of those tanks with an oxyacetylene torch (3,480 degrees Celsius) blazing it DIRECTLY for the better part of a minute for it to even have a chance exploding. Sparks off a grinder from carbon steel don't even reach 200 degrees Celsius. You can literally stand right in front of those grinder sparks with bare skin and not even get burned (I'd protect your eyes from the steel shavings though). For those that are bad at math, that's a factor of more than 15X in heat difference, and let's not forget you'd have to apply that heat directly to the metal cylinder instead of from a couple yards away and from mere sparks that cool within a fraction of second anyway.
3. These cylinders are designed to withstand temperatures exceeding 2000 degrees by OSHA standards. They are literally EXPECTED to get sparks from grinding and far worse thrown at them and are built precisely for that exposure and environment. Again, there is literally ZERO risk of fire here from those sparks.
4. People weld and use an oxyacetylene torch literally within a foot of these tanks every single day. It's normal.
How ironic that idiots are so fucking dumb on 4chan that this even gets posted, let alone in a YLYL thread. If the "laugh" part is to laugh at the poster and all morons that thought this was funny, then mission accomplished because all you did was evidence that you are retarded.
