Kansas City is a beautiful girl.

You can see the sights, won't be subjected to violence unless you have shit luck (lived there 18 years, never got robbed or mugged once.)

Good people, hardworking people, diversity, it's got a great music scene and a wonderful natural world surrounding it. Camping, flint hills, hell, they have several colleges there and around 20 miles of it-- probably around 100 overall in the vicinity.

You have some homeless and shitty people, sure, but the kindness people showed me in Kansas City was paramount.

In short, I love KC. When the Royals won their first world series since the 80's, it was reported 800,000 people showed up the following Sunday for the parade, including me. There were so many people there, it was a sea of blue. Our cell phones stopped working from the amount of people. The grass was tromped all over, and the busses worked for 12 fucking hours to get people there and back. We had to commission school busses from neighboring school districts, and we got out of the bus and walked because traffic was at a standstill.
