I don't really notice much taste, aside from being slightly sweet, from the liquids I've used. Right now I'm using double banana and toasted coconut. I can actually barely taste the coconut.

It's probably a good idea to use unflavored or menthol liquid though. The main [potential] danger of vaping is from the flavorings. Menthol is considered generally safe to inhale. Flavorings that give a cream or dairy flavor are known to be highly carcinogenic. Everything else is anyone's guess currently. Also keep in mind that the FDA (or your country's equivilent) aren't really regulating liquids yet, so whatever the manufacturer says is in them may not be, or additional shit (i.e. lead, arsenic, etc.) you shouldn't be inhaling or ingesting could be, so at the very least don't buy budget liquids from dot-head stores.

The glycerine and propene glycol that form the base of the liquid are thought to be relatively safe, and nicotine alone is fairly benign. It's still addictive, but not as badly as smoking or smokeless tobacco, for some reason.

Another potential risk with it, is using tanks made of certain metals (particularly aluminum, copper, or brass), or certain plastics, all of which can cause negative health effects.

If you are not already addicted to nicotine, you are retarded for considering this. It's not cool. In fact it makes you look even more retarded than smoking cigs. If you are trying to quit smoking however, it can really help.

Don't start with an unregulated mod. Honestly, regulated ones are much better with temp control for certain wires. Kanthal, steel, nickle, etc..

Tweezers
Unbleached cotton
A decent rda. (Be careful buying from china)
A screwdriver, and a small dowel rod that has different metric sizes for wrapping your coils. You could alternatively get a screwdriver set, but the rod is much cheaper, and more economic.

From then on the world is your oyster. Watch a lot of youtube, make friends with the guys at your shop.
