Unless they were really special, you probably wouldn't be able to see nebulas very well, even if you were directly in one. The light collected by the dust would become increasingly spread-out as your approached it, and it the nebula would be nearly the same luminosity as viewing it from afar.

we wont live much longer...google telomeres, basically every time DNA get replicated it gets shorter. Eventually you run out of telomeres and DNA starts to get deleted, causing problems. Alot of research has been done on trying to extend telomeres but to my knowledge none has been fruitful. Heres to hope though

Pretty much all images of galaxies and nebulas are heavily edited to appear much more satisfying to the uneducated public. Unrealistic amounts of contrast, dynamic range, color shift, and unnatural hues make them seem much more tangible than they really are.

The center of that galaxy is brighter because it contains a much higher density of stars. Their age distribution is different than the stars in the arms, causing them to be different colors. There are so many stars that it essentially appears to be a solid, glowing cloud of dust. However, even in the galactic center, there is a large amount of empty space in between stars. It is nearly impossible to gauge the immense size of a galaxy by looking at an image of one.

yes the images are typically edited for color and contrast but the coloring most of the time is not just artistic. Typically they are displaying elements present in object being photographed or because the photos are not been taken the visible light spectrum

Whilst this is true, age is a factor in all those things. Young stars have different compositions to old stars, which in turn gives different temperatures and sizes.

learn how the northern and southern lights work.
Explain to them how they dont happen at the same time
Its my choice argument for an obviously round earth
>>
>>677806121
>actually arguing with flat earth niggers
Why even bother? They won't change their minds and you won't change yours.
Much like religious debates, both sides have strong views and lots of arguments to back their points, and both are completely 100% sure to be right, it's not even about being retarded at this point.

"Do your own research! you're indoctrinated! NASA is the devil! FREEMASONS!"

And then they'll spout some shit from the Bible.

Wait people actually believe that?
We annoy the nerdy space obsessed kid in our class by saying this and coming up with bullshit explanations and evidence. It's hilarious

Saturn.
Have you been there? I've never been there.

Not a speedmaster. The crystal(?) is made of plastic because astronauts don't want potential glass shards flying about.

Flat earthers aren't all bad. A lot of them don't actually think the earth is flat they're just skeptics of what we're told because there's a lot of bs slipped in there with the facts.

cool man. I only have a 130SLT so can't do DSOs. I can't even focus my DSLR without a barlow so it sucks. Seeing is always shit in the UK too.

my best Saturn. Not amazing.

For flat earth niggers, you are wrong, and for most religious people, atheists are wrong and vice versa. There's no debate to be had between strongly indoctrinated people.
The same way I'll try to prove the Earth is flat with pictures despite having never actually seen our planet from above, I'll never believe a them because of things they read on the internet.
I think the Earth is round because that's what I've been told for many, many years, same goes for them.

It sucks that we have only 1 earthlike planet in our solar system. Imagine the effort put into space exploration if there was another planet with life to visit.

Venus and Mars should've tried harder at school.

unfortuntately Gopros use wideangle fish-eyed lenses and cannot be used to proof this. I don't even thing you'd see the curve from that height. the ISS is 240 miles up and the curve isn't massive there. This balloon can't be much more than 24 miles?
>>
>>677807319
I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't bait
>>

I apologize anon. Work and stuff, ya know?
>>
>>677807334

Well they thought Venus may have had life before they sent the probe. Now it's likley moons such as Europa harbour life in an vast underice ocean. There is still chance.

no idea on how high the balloon is going but then id say use a digital camera without a fisheye lens
>>

I'll prentend this is not bait and answer.

You stick a sheet of baader solar film in front of the scope. It looks like tin foil. It blocks out almost all of the light and radiation.

Kill yourself, my man.

There's nothing insignificant about us. The amount of planets there are that either aren't habitable or simply don't have intelligent life on them simply don't even compare to the amount of the inverse. We're rare as fuck, just like any other life-forms that have ever come as far as us.

We're small, but we can fuck up a single planet if it means anything. So fuck you and your "we're insignificant" just because we're small. Our dicks can't reach the stars but there are other things to rape for now.
