Today I went to the bank counselor and he asked me what my occupation was, since it stated "highschool student".
There was this silence.

This is going to sound like a dumb story because it is. I was being medicated for bipolar and schizotypal in highschool without knowing what I was being treated for. I thought it was just ADD.

In 11th grade I make the worse choice of my life and decide to get off my medication. I don't remember why I did this. I still don't end up getting told what I had while i'm deciding to do this or afterwards.

Without the medication I start sliding in school fast. Schizotypal alone causes major apathy and motivation isssues. I end up opting to get homeschooled to go for my GED.

I don't get the GED. For 8 years since that day I did nothing but stay in my moms house because without the meds I was totally wrecked by the my afflictions. 8 years of waking up surfing the internet and going to sleep. No job no social life except for some friends from highschool who had kept in touch with me over the years and my brother.

Finally in my late 20s I discover what I had been medicated for in highschool and it finally dawns on me to get back into therapy again. That was what most of 2015 was. Finding the right medication and etc. I also end up finding out that I had sleep apnea. I held my breath enough to deprive my brain of oxygen for 2 hours every night and we don't know how long that has been going on. Really helps to explain why I had like no energy to do basic things like mowing the lawn or anything else. Really also explains why studying has been so incredibly hard. I was given a CPAP machine and my energy is returning.


Now that i'm medicated and in therapy I want to fix my life and earn a good income but i'm not really sure what to do about that yet. I guess for now I should just focus on getting the GED and figure out what my college major is going to be.

I don't know to be honest. I did just find out the schizotypal stuff was suspected only near the end though so they were just treating me for bi polar.

Here's the real kicker though. When I decided to get back into therapy and get back on medication we went to see a new doctor this time. When we saw him we made a case for me having bi polar disorder by saying the previous doctor had suspected that I had this for years and the old doctor was a specialist in dealing with bi polar disorder.

This new doctor talks to me for like 4 minutes and then says I he doesn't think I have bi polar disorder. He suspects that I have autism instead.

I think if I had autism that would have already been ruled out long ago. I was seen by doctors for years.But ever since he's said that its been in the back of my mind and I don't know if I need to go get screened for this or not.

It's unreasonable to believe everyone can just get better jobs. Low-wage jobs aren't only for teens (jobs at bars for instance, which cannot be worked by teens) and teens alone cannot fill them, especially at places like walmart. There will always HAVE to be people that stay at the bottom in capitalist society to work these jobs. If there will always be people to work these jobs who have families, there will be poverty and for many no way to pay for surgeries or medicine necessary for survival even. This is what gov't healthcare plans are for.

I make my money as a fish monger, and I also do freelance home repair/water line/electrical. All under the table now, I used to be certified in all my fields, but after I found my spiritually at the end of a psychotic break I stopped paying taxes and claiming income a few years ago.
