This. Ive been doing MA for fifteen years, Kobudo, JJ, and Goju Ryu. Ive been hit by some hard styles; Shotokan, Sambo, WC, Goju Ryu, driven into the mat by Judoka, Eastern Mountain Kung Fu and Hapkido. But Ive yet to ever be hit hard enough by a TK to respect it.

About eight months ago a Korean dude broke into my house and hit me with a stun gun four times and a pipe enough times for fifteen staples in the head and that was including the fact I won the home invasion and managed to subdue him and throw his ass out while protecting my face and vital regions. Without a doubt if I didnt know how to take a hit Id be dead. I got hit a shitload of times because I had headphones on and didnt hear him coming while fucking around on PC and if I didnt know the places I could sacrifice and let get hit vs the ones that shouldnt Id be dead.

But most of all he expected somebody to just give up the moment shit hit the fan and just let him do whatever he wanted and the moment I fought back was the moment we both resolved ourselves to murder each other. I found out even after all that I couldnt kill him (and I was also pretty fucking tired and didnt know how much longer I could go) so I threw him out and called the cops. But if I had the bravado of alot of these TK and McDojos without that training and contact sparring and grappling experience Im pretty sure Id be dead or at least have a hamburger face.

You have no idea how easy beating people up with raw strenght is. I´ve known a few people that do martial arts but except for the one guy that actually was behind it fanatically and went to the army after school most aren´t worth shit in a real fight.

Can confirm. Was also black belt in Taekwondo and means total shit In a real fight. I was there for 5 years before I quit. But to be fair we have a women trainer who can beat the males there. Some of the guys there are very built and strong. Some of the people there have been there for 15+ years.

Unless you are Ali or GSP if someone wants to rain bombs on your head they are gonna do it. The difference is knowing that your forehead is stronger than the flat part of your head and eyebrow cuts are/feel more gruesome than actually are.

Same thing if your getting hit in the trunk. Liver, kidneys, triangle and ribs all need protected but kidneys or a broken floating rib will take the wind out of your sales extremely fast which means sacrificing things like forearms to block a weapon.

Shit I had a concussion that took me over a month to recover from and I still feel like Im less stable when using my ankles tham before. But if I got hit in the temple or jaw Id go down like a box of rocks.
