I judge games based on something simple. Should my harddrive/memory card/cartridge were no longer content-supported once servers for said content went down and I can't recover the updates/data/dlc... would it still be worth playing? Would it be worth my money?
If a game is released vastly incomplete it shouldn't be purchased. This is only with exemption on games strictly built for online-only play I guess. I'd rather be able to play my games when the servers go down in the future.
