This.

I've bought 4 in the past year. 2 as extra knives for convenience and two as gifts to get people into knives.
>>
>>677378207
Just a few uses I've encountered

>opening shit
>cutting shit
>stripping wire
>letter opener
>makeshift screw driver
>sharpening pencils
>remove staples
>eating an apple from an orchard
>spontaneous hikes/camping trips
>cutting the seatbelt if you need to get out of a car
>smashing a window in an emergency
>using it to get into places too small for your fingers (I do this more than anything)
>digging splinters and shit out of your skin
>clean/trim fingernails
>scraping off glue, paint, rust etc
>prying things loose
>dig batteries out of things
>open a can without a can opener
>shotgun a beer at a party
>bottle opener
>first aid like removing clothes, cutting bandages
>trimming loose threads from your clothes

There are infinite uses for a good blade
>>
>>677378028
you can grip the grooves on the base of the handle and it gives you a really long reach. with the tanto one chop to the wrist would fuck someone hand up in a knife fight
>>
>>677378207

>>
>>677378150
Cost me $20, that's what an edc is dude. Does the job but if I lose it I don't give a shit.

My boar is the workhorse when I'm doing real work. Wouldn't recommend it, but you can baton with it. Better than a hatchet because of the scandi grind.

Easier to conceal imo and less of a risk of it being used against me because even if I unclench my fist I'm not going to drop it.

if you have a non-stainless knife, you should wipe down with oil (anything works but use cooking oil if you plan on using it for cooking) after each use (I keep a paper towel that has been soaked in canola oil for this purpose). That's sexy, I haven't seen that model before

very true. Carrying both would be better than just carrying one. What are you carrying anon? My next gun is probably going to be a markov just cause of the rugged design.

I just hate the aesthetics of spyderco... most of them look cheap as fuck (even though I know they're not). And lets not talk about the thumbhole... some love it, some hate it. I'm on the hating side.

Slightly agree. I bought a Kershaw – a budge knife. Shit broke within a week. Bought a $150 Benchmade, and it's still like new after two years of use.

>I don't understand why people pay $500 dollars for a sebenza

Knives life these are for the knife enthusiast or collectors. They are paying for refinement, custom work, and luxury materials. No needed, yes, but wanted by the collectors.

Absolutely disgusting how many folding knives are in this thread.

Microtech combat troodon.

Got it as a joke since I thought an OTF would be a horrible EDC but it's actually been great.

Not OP, but that's your fucking tunnel vision-like interpretation.

He could have been carrying knives for a long ass time, and since he got a new one today, decided to make a thread. Who knows.

The pm2 is a rescaled M390 one if that makes you wetter. that and the yo2 in S90v just feel good. Sal is sending me a nirvana soon.

I have more but they are in another drawer in my nonedc spot. I give away spydercos too in contest. Gave my ex a positron 2 weeks ago

What are you, a commando? This is a thread about knifes people carry everyday. If you're carrying a fixed blade knife every time you go grocery shopping, you're an autistic faggot.

Seems cool albeit overpriced for a spring loaded blade. Features doesn't warrant the price. If I ever buy an automatic, which I can carry in my state, I would buy a Benchmade auto.

Free is Free baby cakes. Either way I actually use mine to poke holes in galvanized sheets when cooking sometimes. I build a portable cochon de lait and cook when I have to. That shit pokes holes in the sheets with ease
