So I've been looking at this shit for a week or so now, simply out of morbid curiosity. I enjoy both aspects of it, fairly equally. What I don't understand is the unbridled hostility towards hugbox content. The booru has twice as many pages dedicated to tagged abuse, than tagged hugbox. Thing is, more than half of this abuse content is retarded, poorly drawn shit where

I enjoy the cathartic abuse. What I enjoy more though, is creativity in this abuse. I love the content that has an elaborate abuse method, or especially abuse that carries a deep psychological impact. Except when some faglord spends ten minutes in mspaint drawing a shovel cutting a blob in half it's met with a chorus of cheers and a 10/10.
Then you see the hugbox content which is roundly derided. The best example is a stellar abuse story of three test subject mares and their foals, which has a bittersweet hugbox ending (for those interested: https://www.fluffybooru.org/post/view/27834 ) The way the comments are you would think the author personally went to their houses and individually fucked them directly in their physical mouths.

Everyone in every fluffy thread keeps justifying the abuse by saying fluffy behavior is a reflection of human behavior. That's why I said that the abuse sucks when the fluffy is innocent and it's the human at fault for being too retarded to understand their pet or too lazy/irresponsible to take care of it.
Food + water = life (YOU, the owner, have to provide these things. Every day. Period.)
Food + water in = shit + piss out. (YOU, the owner, HAVE to clean this up. Every day. Period.)
If your pet isn't fixed then sex = babies

The foul is shocked, angered, not fully aware of the situation.

The next panels are them monitoring the foul and the babies.
The foul just begging and crying and pounding on the wall while the babies are slowing starving to death on the other side.
(Oh god the mental anguish is delicious)
Last panel, the babies are dead from lack of care and the mom is laying in it's on bile, broken...

Depends on the headcanon. Some had "mane 6" versions trading for five figures while ordinary fluffs with good colors/personalities changed hands in the low thousands. THOSE owners would pay, not for a vet, but for a Hasbio licensed fluffy care technician to make sure their little Boopsie was in tip top shape.
Nowadays, it's a turkey baster full of strong acid up the queef and carry on with your day.

I agree but FluffAb has kinda generated its own subgenres. I really like how Carniv draws them as victims of domestic abuse, like the weeks of abuse (years in Fluffy age) have had such a visible affect on them.
If you have ever been unlucky enough to see a breeding mill dog or a woman who ha spent two decades being beaten by her weird religious husband, the correlation is horribly similar.
This is why we need a few more hugbox endings to these stories. Would love to see some of these wretched creatures get a nice ending.
Of course also loved seeing the one who was abused and then dropped off at a shelter in order for it to be rehabilitated just so the same abuser could re-adopt it.
