There are certain sectors of English society which I'm not a fan of, but most English people feel the same about those parts of English society too. We all know what I'm talking about. Puplic school nepotism, middle-class pomposity and superficial dumb suburban Essex types. English tax pays pay for a lot of things that only benefit Scotland. i.e. Free Higher Education, Free medical prescriptions, higher subsidies of rail fares etc.
I believe there is a certain amount of animosity due to the fact Scotland gets an unfair proportion of tax money per head. about £800 more.

On another note; an independent Scotland would not be able to support itself. I think you may be right, man. A lot is made out of the fact that a major case for independence is that we (Scotland) are much more liberal that England - in general terms. But the fact of the matter is, if Scotland became completely autonomous, we would become just as (economically) conservative in order to compete with the (resultant) UK.
