Wouldn't work. You need a barrel. If you actually set that thing off, the brass casing would fly back at you and maybe bruise you a bit. The reason is because a bullet needs the barrel to concentrate the explosive power in order to gain energy. The brass is lighter than the bullet, so without the barrel "backstopping" it, you'd just have the brass fly back at you and scary "Pop" but probably no lethal damage. Might really fuck up the "gun" or your hand though.

Yeah the AK-107 is a good weapon, but in my opinion the ability to shoot in full auto with no recoil only looks cool (and fun!) but the effectiveness of the soldier is low.
There's a reason you always have a SAW while on patrol, he is suppressing the enemy while the riflemen make the precision shots (supposedly at least).
