I've daily driven my 1999 Miata for nearly three years now. You'll be hard pressed to find a more fun, more reliable, more modifiable car for the price. Sure, I get gay jokes from time to time, usually from rednecks packed six deep in a lifted truck, but my car doesn't define my sexuality. My girlfriend loves riding in it too, and I recently taught her to drive stick on it.

If you can get past how fucking small and inconvenient it is, and how uncomfortable it can become once you start throwing roll bars and coilovers on it (and believe me, you will), you'll have a perpetual smile on your face wherever you go. I'd be happy to answer any questions you've got if you're considering picking one up
