Also, that still doesn't explain why Batman is so clumsy in this and why he uses guns so much. Literally half of his scenes are with a gun (The paradox scene not included). He never even bothers with batrangs other than to mark things.

Clumsy examples, he hits the fire escape when dodging doomsday. He sits in his cockpit and lets doomsday blast him. He watches Superman recover from the Kryptonite gas instead of loading another round.

These are all sloppy mistakes that Batman wouldn't make.

Gonna be honest. I don't find it to be as bad as most are making it out to be. Yeah, it's not great, but at least it had its moments. I do like some of the actors. Jeremy Irons as Alfred was kind of fun. The action scenes were pretty exciting. In Batman's very first comic appearance, he throws a guy into a vat of acid, stating that "it's a fitting end for his kind." This was the first of many kills.

And even before Nolan's Batman killed Ra's, and Dent, and Talia, and all the guys in the League of Shadows' temple, Burton's Batman killed goons left right and centre, blowing them up, shooting them, throwing them down belltowers.

There's a horrible little mental thing that goes around where someone on social media, or an important figure on twitter says that "Batman doesn't kill" and then it just spreads as if its gospel amongst people who actually haven't read any of the source material. Even in Nolan's films which absolutely preached that Batman has his "one rule", he still takes out Dent and Talia without hesitation.

Let me simplify this.

Batman wasn't dreaming.

He 'woke up' twice. Why? Because when Flash went back in time to warn him the universe was altered and corrected itself. It's complicated but Batman's memories from universe 2 or whatever merged with Universe 1.

To see an example of this watch the animated Justice League Flashpoint Paradox. In the movie when flash makes a change in time his consciousness is actually transported to him at whatever point in time he moved or changed and event. In the movie he wakes up in his office after he changed the past, only to find that he fucked up. He still retains his memories though.
