EPILOGUE

I don't speak with her because I can tell from her facebook she's being pretty serious about this other guy. With loyal girls, you don't text when they're with someone & expect her to want you. They're with who they've chosen even if it's not to last.
At this time, hitting her up is just thirsty & disrespectful.
He's simple. Country. You know. At least doesn't seem a piece of shit like her ex. 1 good thing is she won't take her ex's shit from anyone now. She stayed years because she loved him. He never loved her. Broke my heart how much she loved him. Early on I decided the only way I'd let this woman go was if he stepped up as a man for her & his child. He didn't.
Never been so sure I wanted to be with someone. She outshined all previous infatuations like the sun to a nitelite, & blew all contemporary competition out of the water.
Lots of doubts fucked me up but I'll never doubt how much I love those two girls. I'd've seen her daughter's every need met before I was even fed.

But with the way things went, I'm letting it breathe & letting her do as she chooses. If she's to be with this guy, is what it is. I've got a lot of growth to do & do does she. I refuse to reconnect on strictly platonic terms & not letting that natural burning intense pull to each other spark up. If there's any chance in the future, now is not the time. For now, she can't know how much I miss her or how it's fucked me up. No weakness. Life is a game of timing- you master timing, you master life.
I still pray for her every day. She finally got a job & just got her own place. I'm so proud of her.

If you love it, you gotta let it be free. If it ain't free, it ain't love you're dealing with.
I'm mature enough to move on if we're not to be.

But God help me, it hurts.
