Don't ever try and get one made. They are all really easy to spot. No genuine ID has "security" or pictures of keys in hologram. It is very easy to spot a fake.

That being said, it is much harder to catch an underage drinker when they have a real ID, but it belongs to someone that looks like them. I always quizzed people I suspected by asking them things they might not have thought about. For instance, I would ask them what year they graduated HS... not super accurate, as some people graduate when they are 17, 18 ,19..... but what I was really looking for was they way they answered. Most people don't have to think about the year they graduated. Hesitation tended to equal deception and I would confiscate the ID - and then sell them to people who needed fakes.

TL,DR - try to buy an ID from a bouncer. They have stacks of fakes and probably will sell them to you.
