I got her when I was 5. She wasn't supposed to be my cat but she ended up becoming mine because I was the only person she would let pick up and she would sleep with me every night. She was also very protective of me. She literally bit my mom once because she was yelling at me. But it was also definitely time to let her go. She hadn't eaten in 5 days nor drank water in 2 and had become delirious. She couldn't even support her own weight.

Yeah, by far one of the hardest things I've had to do but the vet was super understanding and nice about it. Got to hold her and pet her while she drifted away. I'm getting her cremated and I'm going to spread her Ashes in the backyard of my childhood home.

We saved her after Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast some years back.
Mom and siblings got taken by animal control before the storm but missed her.

I just let my cats sleep next to me if they want to. Easier, it makes them happy and I too sleep better with a pair furry warmers.
Cats can get pretty miserable if left behind closed doors, especially if you're on the other side. My other cat acts like I've been gone for a whole day every time I emerge from the bathroom.

Neither is it mine, that's why I try to be overly descriptive. Here's an example of the type of brush I was talking about. "2 way" in the file name means you can rotate the red pad 180 degrees to change direction. It grips hair, lint etc. when used in one direction and you remove accumulated debris by stroking it in the opposite direction.
