if they wanted to write a story about an artist being frightened by his own work, it shouldn't have anything to fucking do with fluffies.

Wouldn't fluffies make good working animals? They're small and even though most are dumb as bricks, with proper training they could follow procedures. They could be sent to disaster areas to look for survivors. Like in caved-in mines or in ruins after an earthquake.
