What I wanted to know, is why Christians can't account for what they believe, and how they reason to themselves that jesus is god and somehow also not god. I think this is all misleading. Listen to Alan Watts' talk on Jesus Christ. Our King James Bible misinterprets the original intent in regards to 'son of God'. In the original scripture he said he was 'a' son of God not 'the' son of God. He was pedestalized and make unimportant by being kicked upstairs. Jesus took many of his ideas from Confucius and Eastern religious teachings of respect and applied them to the old testament framework. Jesus wanted us to realize that we are all God's children and a part of him.
