Waters seems to have been a dick but it's hard to argue with the fact that after he left it just wasn't the same. You can see that David had a hand in the unique sound of Floyd, but without Waters to bring in the ideas and lyrics the best you get is The Division Bell, which sounds interesting but has no depth.

waters came out and admitted that he thought the band should end because the output was turning to shit... but perhaps the rest of the band didnt agree and he should have consulted better.

quite an admission, even if its not really needed. it was his band. he even hired gilmour 4 years after it started.

gilmour has been nothing but deadpan dismissive / self absorbed wanker ever since.

roger wanted to get back together and tour. gilmour... nah.

every time there has been a pink floyd reunion or get together, roger has started it and moved heaven and earth to get it out to the fans... gilmour couldnt give a fuck.
