I dunno if I should get it. I played fallout4 hardcore for the first couple of months, got to level 70-something, explored as much as I could, collected so much weapons and armor sitting in a single waredrobe, did all the interesting quests and been to the interesting areas... I'm rich, have everything I need/want, even on survival shit got easy after so much gameplay and repetitiveness?

Maybe when Far Harbor comes out ill pick it up again, 'til then I don't know if I want to continue playing anymore because of the wait times between dlcs.

skyrim had some stupid exploits using alchemy, smithing, and enchanting to create any weapon that would one-hit anything on any difficulty. special books didnt make fallout that easy. cloning weapons for settlers actually makes it easier for me than maxing out SPECIAL. trying to keep track of settlers because too much of a chore. the bonus is i dont have to worry about settlers stealing my weapons from containers

With fallout 4 it felt like they mixed water with expensive wine. Gorgeous open world, but so flat and almost no depth at all.

Nah, Fallout 4 got watered down hardcore, I get Bethesda wants sales and shit but goddamn did they dumb it down, the dialogue wheel is absolute garbage, the writing is even worse than skyrim, all the factions have essentially the same quest (or just a bunch of super repetitive ones) for a game that shoves weapon customization down your throat there's not many options other than boring ass damage buffs that hardly change the look of the gun, hopefully Bethesda lets Obsidian make another one, cause Obsidian can actually write a good fallout game

I was bored and barely pushed through to the BoS invasion of the Commonwealth. Once that was done the map opened up, fighting was easier with troops dropped in, I hooked up a shitton of settlements and took the Castle. But I'm started to get bored of constant shoot em ups. I brought in like 9 settlements and geared them up because they didn't require as much FPS. I didn't want to spend and hour getting to a new location and sweeping rooms and floors. I love doing that at times, but after I clear a place of super mutes, that last thing I want to do is run into a group of mercenaries or synths.

Fallout NV was my favorite for all but a brief period of time between the BoS invasion on F4 and the post invasion excitement. I haven't touched F4 in weeks and follow a pattern of 1 week on, 4 weeks off when trying to push through it.

Bethesda got a bit lazy because it relies too much on the modding community to build the game for them. It feels like they're investing minimal effort with their latest title and it's a damn shame. I miss the old fallouts, so complex and well crafted. I'd pay big bucks to see those in HD remake.
